Very clear premise: “We serve only traditional danish food. We don’t have vegetarian options” Very honest, homemade, delicious food. Cozy and warm ambience. Unpretentious dishes and yet well made, rich and high quality. This is a gem of danish food in Copenhage.

It’s a very cute place to try the local danish food. This is my husband’s favourite spot. The food is good and well presented. Cornelis Vreeswijk would often eat here. They answered all our questions about the restaurant. The services is great. The waitresses are very nice and friendly. Would definitely go there again!

Talking about authenticity. We were recommended here by one of the chefs from Kadeau. It’s one of the oldest cafe/restaurants in town. We were told it’s the first one with a permit to sell alcoholic beverages aswell as food in Copenhagen. Even the staff are of respectable age, in a good way! It’s purely authentic, the looks, the food & the feel! And talking about the food, wow, it’s delicious! Very tasteful! We let one of the waitresses help us decide on the dishes, and it was better than we could hope for. Thank you! The fish and the meat dishes are so good. Very sweet and helpful staff. All in all amazing! A real hidden (in plain sight) gem! Lovely! I truly loved the coffee.

It was a delicious experience for us. One of the oldest inns of Copenhagen. Dishes that we tried were absolutely delicious. Only some of the stuff members were a little unfriendly. But the ambience and the vibes make up for it. Totally recommend!

I went to this restaurant just for quick lunch by chance, cuz this place was close to my client. This restaurant is super nice!!!! I ordered eel and herring. They were super nice!! I am Japanese and I usually eat grilled eel with Japanese sauce, here I ate smoked eel. I think it was the first time to eat smoked eel. It was fantastic!!! I really recommend the smoked eel. The herring was also nice. It was thick and tasty. The waitress was so amable:) But, when you enter, the door is very hard to open, so you have to push the door, strongly:D ha ha ha. It was really quick lunch, so if I come back to Copenhagen, I want to stay here for relax linch and dinner with beer!

Wonderful small cafe! The owner was very friendly; the hering plate was delicious -- we tried the marinated and the spiced one. Despite the small number of reviews, it seems the place is popular -- and for good reason. Payments by card accepted. We loved the cosy, welcoming interior.

What a lovely place to stop for lunch! The inside is cosy and snug, and the outside tables are remarkable shady all afternoon. We sampled four kinds of smorrebrod, all delicious, but the fried plaice with remoulade was my favorite. The staff was friendly and everyone spoke English. All around I highly recommend this spot if you’re in the area!
