Amazing Amazing delicious servings. Had a 9-course dinner and it was truly delicious and tasty and I am quit full 😊 the staff was great, giving that extra attention as well as knowledgeable about both food and wine. We had the complementary wine menu, which included both local and foreign tasty wines. Nice decor and atmosphere 👌 A great experience I would recommend for an evening out.

My partner and I had a most wonderful dining experience at Villanelle. We were greeted in a clean and welcoming lounge area where we were served our first two courses, or 'snacks' as the staff called them. Our drinks were carried to our table in a modest but bright dining room, the music and mood was very relaxed and we were immediately made to feel at home. My partner is pregnant, and I informed the restaurant ahead of time, but unlike most restaurants the chef did not omit any dishes, instead adapting them to meet her dietary needs. Each dish was interesting, tasty and sufficient to sate our appetites, in fact towards the end my partner was sharing her portions with me. We did not have to wait long between courses, and were able to take a 'breather' when necessary; the waiting team even paused for my partner to return to the table before serving. The staff explained each plate very well and ensured it was served just as intended with the appropriate aplomb, answering any questions with good knowledge. Our glasses were never dry and the service provided by the staff was far beyond what we have become accustomed to at restaurants in Copenhagen. For a fantastic birthday meal, we could not have asked for more and when we can save up again we will be back. Highly recommended.

I recently had an unforgettable dining experience at Villanelle 🍽️. It's a private dining venue that focuses on fresh ingredients and seasonal delights 🌿. The dishes were beautifully presented, showcasing the chef's creativity and attention to detail 🍴. One dish that left a lasting impression was their amazing ribeye 🥩. Cooked to perfection, it's a culinary dream that I still think about 😍. I know it's a steak, but still. Unfortunately, I didn't capture any photos, but I highly recommend experiencing it firsthand 📸. The flavors were exceptional, and the attentive service added to the overall enjoyment of the evening 👌. Villanelle is a hidden gem, offering a remarkable gastronomic journey. Don't miss the chance to try their outstanding menu, including the unforgettable ribeye, in an cool ambiance atmosphere!

Some of the best food experiences in CPH I have hat here - definitely Michelin level. The restaurant is very high quality in interior and service is sublime. Best food experience I have had ever.

Restaurant villanelle is like a culinary journey. From the moment you sit down at the table, you are taken on a gastronomic expedition, where each dish on the plate opens up new horizons of taste and texture, and you can feel the dedication and passion.

Villanelle was pretty good, sort of. There were good features and a high quality of the servings. But there were definitely some weird things too. Let me address the criticism first: It took four hours and three quarters to get through the menu. It is far too long. We guessed that the stove had broken or something. A small dish, such as those served in these large 15-course menus, is eaten in 2-3 minutes. But there was about 20 minutes between each serving. It's a very long time to sit and stare into the air. An ordered cocktail was forgotten. It can happen. Underneath the tablecloth on the table was a thin foam board, which made the table seem soft to sit on. At first I thought it was a funny idea, but as the evening progressed I noticed overturned wine glasses on three different tables. A tall, thin-stemmed wine glass does not sit well on a foam mattress. In the end, I think it was a shame that a few of the servings were done the way they were. First a snack with frog legs, but where the snack was a small warm crispy thing with a frog leg "stuff" inside. I understand that you have to cook food that the slightly picky Danish guests can handle, but it would have been more fun to sit and wave a frog's leg with flippers. What I mean is that one would like to be more daring in the presentation. Next, spritz like a very mild and careful eat. Why hide them under a slice of filo pastry? and why serve them food, an otherwise lovely morel and chanterelle sauce which completely drowns out the brambles? You could have cooked a piece of smuggled tofu and hidden it under the filo pastry and made me think it was sprats. They disappeared completely. Finally, the deserts were not quite up to par. Again something daring was missing. I think the chef is a bit new and needs to build the confidence needed to serve a challenging dish. For quite obsessed, the craftsmanship was totally fine. And that leads me to what impressed. One of the servings was tortellini. It was simply the best texture and taste I have experienced to date. The pulpo was also fantastic and distinguished itself precisely by not being hidden. I just say scratch and don't be afraid to splurge a little more, but try to see if you can't get the service down to three hours.

Villanelle is an incomparable experience that combines exquisite food, first-class service, and a warm and inviting atmosphere. Throughout the evening we were served by attentive and professional staff who enriched the whole experience. The highlight was the impressive Surf 'n' Turf and lamb shank, both cooked to perfection. The transition to the sweet notes in the form of blood orange with olive oil, a heavenly donut with rhubarb and hay ice cream, and delicate petit four, was just the icing on the cake. Villanelle delivers a unique and memorable experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates exquisite food and an intimate atmosphere. It is definitely a hidden gem that I will return to.
