Beautifully stacked. Food are fresh and I enjoyed it. But I find the taste nothing to rave about. I am surprised how much I like the pickled herring though. Its good. The fishcake is disappointing. Eating fishcakes from different cultures/cuisines, this is the first time I don't like it.

Great place for our first meal in the Danish Kingdom! The open-faced sandwiches are so beautifully created and of course super delectable! Point to note, it is located in the Tivoli Foodhall. Tables by the windows are great for pictures taking!

All I could say is that I tried one of the national dishes. Not impressed. I am not sure what kind of fish was. But it had the texture of chicken and flour mix. They looked good. I am not sure how long the open sandwiches were sat on the display until served mine from it.

The smørrebrød was ok. Didn't taste fresh but not bad either. The shop has quite a range of different tastes. Prices are on a higher side but that may be a copenhagen thing.

You can't leave Denmark without trying Smørrebrød which is basically open faced sandwich with rye bread. There are many places to try these beautiful sandwiches in Copenhagen and Hallernes Smørrebrød is a pretty good place to try them. There are so many different toppings (shrimps, egg, potato, roast pork, roast beef, smoked salmon).

Honestly, these open sandwiches are not for everyone. The bread is dense and dry, but the topped potatoes with onion and chives really gave it a kick. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because of the nice lady who served me.

These were the best smoreebrod we had in Copenhagen. Went back twice. Pretty expensive but they are big and worth it.
