Classic and traditional Danish open sandwiches on rye bread. It is kept very simple, wysiwyg, nothing fancy, but solid and very affordable and it is served with a smile. The restaurant has the vintage feeling, floors are curvy, poorly insulated, but then there is fire in the fireplace and you instantly feel welcome. Fyi. If you are looking for new nordic fusion style ‘smørrebrød’ - this is not the place.

Turned down twice now...run out of smörrebröd, told us that at 15.00 on Saturdays they normally run out... Make more then duh!! Typical place that lives on its anno 1694 only

Delicious smørrebrød! Also the beer is of the larger kind if you’re into that (of course you are).

Sadly I haven't had the chance to try the food, since the kitchen was closed more than an hour before closing time. Sadly no information on Google Maps so plan accordingly.

Helsingoers best lunch place, no doubt has the owner and chef Henrik, created something quite unique and found a concept without comparison , just go there and enjoy the special atmosphere in this 400 year old town house and garden.

Really nice and typical place, warm and cozy. We had tasty Danish meatballs and pork, and we paid the right amount. We waited a bit for a table but it was worth it. Good experience!

If you want real Danish smørrebrød (open face sandwich for lack of a better term), this is the place to get it. It's the best place in Helsingør and the surrounding area. The food is great and the restaurant is in an old restored building. Well worth a visit.

A friendly place, with tasty small dishes in a very old house.
