Fantastic building by Arne Jacobsen. The basic formal operation of the shear is the big contextual move of the project at the scale of the building massing and site, but this same operation is carried through across scales, down to the details of the large entrance gate and the smaller entrance canopy and even door handle. The changing materiality on the short ends despite the relentlessness of the formal language is both programmatically, contextually, and visually sensitive

I visited the Bank at March 19, 2019. The young lady at the reception was very friendly and polite. But my attempt to change banknotes for my collection at the cash-desk was a disaster. After returning home I discovered that 50 kroner note has a fold!!! And 100 kroner note is slightly damaged!!! How it could be possible??? My impression of Denmark was spoiled:(

Just pop your head into the lobby to see towering lobby space with its minimalist hanging stair. A masterpiece

Opening hours are unfriendly. Get here between 10 am and 1 pm. No much to see for visitors.

Interesting place where you can see old coins and banknotes. It's free and only take 30 minutes.

Some coins have holes in them.
