I had looked specifically for a place serving smørrebrød after our visit to Kronborg Castle, and I had chosen Café Dix for the combination of value for money indicated by previous reviews. I was not disappointed. The place is quiet and cosy, and the staff is nice. The food is very good and decently priced. It was very cute when we asked our waitress, clearly a student with her summer job at the restaurant, a question about the ham to be served and she replied she didn't know because she was vegetarian...

Summary: Delicious Smørrebrød, good draft beer, IPA & (to highlight) irish coffee!, not expensive, the café itself is "hyggelig", pleasant staff, and last but not least great & friendly owner. Many greetings from Swabia/Germany (hopefully till next time)! Servus!

Tasty smørrebrød at a decent price. Can be quite busy at lunch so takes a bit longer to get food.

Some of the best service we have ever had. Those who work here are warm, welcoming and friendly, great recommendations and great at checking in with you. The food was lovely, we had smørrebrød, beer and snaps, perfect Danish experience. I'd definitely recommend if you're in Helsingør.
