One of my best meals whlist in Copenhagen. It was so good I went twice. The oysters are fresh and not too salty. The condiments that came with it complements the oysters beautifully. The smorrebrod dishes were quite good as well, they were just topped with so much shrimps. The moules and frites dish was also really really good. The mussels were cooked just right and the sauce they were cooked in was beautiful. While the steak was also very good but I feel like you can skip it for the seafood. My favourite dish was the fish and chips. It was one of the best fish and chips I've ever had. The fish was fried perfectly, crispy batter on the outside while the fish stayed tender on the inside. The chips were crispy and freshly fried. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to have seafood in the area. You will not be disappointed. The only issue was that I wish the table was bigger.

First, we received bad treatment from the waiter who didn't seem like he wanted to help us and ignored us completely. Anyway, a nice waitress helped us later. The food was adequate, nothing special, and the atmosphere was quite okay.

Expensive but the food was fine. Seafood mix cost 500 kr for one person, 700 kr for two people. We ordered one, the food itself was fresh. Fish and chips are good, and the portions are big.

If you want to experience dining at Nyhavn at least once, then eat here. But other than that, it is expensive and cramped (al fresco). Service was slow. And they forgot to turn on the heater. One saving grace (and I don’t think the busker was part of Havfruen’s staff) was the guitar player in the background, who then left I think around 7 PM. The music had a nice touch to the dining experience. Also, be warned when you pay via credit card. They put a certain percentage on your bill (which they say is the bank, not their doing). So depending on your bank (as a foreigner, they charge you a percentage), your bill can quickly skyrocket. It is expensive to dine here already. We paid 1,000 DKK for 3 adults (and we didn’t even order the lobster)! I saw other tables having that discussion with the server upon paying via credit card. Just do it once for the experience, MAYBE.

Food is ok, not terrible. Our mains took a while to arrive but service was generally good. The kids menu is great and even offers dish sizes for those under 8and those above 8. It has a great location on the Nyhavn.

This place got some good reviews on TripAdvisor and I wanted to check it out. Food was a total disaster! I ordered Calamare with dipping, it was dry and over fried. The Fish & chips is the worst F&C I’ve ever got served. For this I paid €66.62 What a disappointment To the kitchen; You have to sober up and take the food seriously. An amateur cook would do this better.

We had dinner at this place twice on our 4 days visit to Copenhagen, the staff were very welcoming and managed to get us tables although we were a big group of 10 . We had the oysters for starters , the tinned anchovies with bread and the salmon tartar which I highly recommend to try especially the anchovies for me was the best I tasted ever. The main course was excellent too. The place is always busy and it’s one of the best choices to grab a fresh seafood when ur in town.

The two women who served us were very welcoming and friendly. They were pleasant to speak to and I felt genuine kindness from them. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also cozy and intimate. We ordered olives with anchovies to start and they were delicious. Ordered 6 oysters (2 of each of the 3 kinds they had) and they were so good. For our mains, we ordered the fish and chips and the linguine with clams. The fish and chips was cooked perfectly. The fish was perfectly cooked and moist, fell apart nicely. The batter was perfectly crispy as well. The fries, tartar and mushy peas which tasted fresh were also delicious. The linguine with clams was so good! It was too bad we had to eat quickly and rush to catch our ferry back to Oslo. Really would have like to eat slowly and savour it - but the pasta, clams, tomatoes, the hint of white wine was amazing. Overall, we had a great experience and I'm glad our first and only meal we had during our 5 hours in Copenhagen was at this restaurant. Thank you so much!
