Sesame Sprinkles
Restaurant Chay is fully vegan and specializes in Vietnamese cuisine. On weekdays, there are 3 menu items available for lunch. Depending on the week of the day, you have a different choice of dishes. For 125 SEK, you can get one meal, water and coffee/tea. For dinner and on weekends, you can order from the regular menu. During weekday lunchtime, you have to go inside, order at the counter and pay in advance before food is served to you. The day we ate here, there was a problem with one of the dishes we had ordered. After I told staff about it, they first tried to talk us into believing that it was supposed to taste like it did. After a while, they turned up with a freshly cooked dish instead, which tasted 100% better than the first dish. Other than that, the rest of the dishes tasted either good or okay. I was surprised by the low prices and the colorful and flavorful food. The restaurant is large and has seating indoors as well as outdoors. It is colorfully decorated with an Asian-style interior to create an exotic flair. The restaurant is located on the plaza Sundstorget and you can look at the surroudings if you sit outdoors.

Vegan food with amazing service. Our server was so nice and helpful. I had udon noodles which were cooked perfectly. Enjoyed my experience here with nice atmosphere and fresh food.

Very nice restaurant. Always amazing to eat at a fully vegan restaurant. Sadly there is no English menu but we made it work. The spring rolls were delicious! Best I’ve ever had. So was the pancake and the summer rolls. The summer rolls could do with a bit more filling. To much noodles in comparison to other filling. The steamed dumplings were very bland. It is expensive, but I guess that is normal for Sweden. Highly recommend!!!

My first time at a vegan restaurant and I loved it! I definitely recommend it to both vegans and meat eaters alike as the food is fantastic! We were so happy we went back for lunch the next day. It's great to have the entire menu to choose from for once.

The restaurant is very cozy and nicely decorated. Our food was amazing, such variety in crisp, bright tastes and very warm comforting food as well. The salads were excellent and incredibly balanced. The dumplings and bao bun extremely well done and a wonderful mango stick rice to finish. The menu is amazing looking, will be coming back to try more things!
