Wonderful place, with great food (interesting and varied dishes using international ingredients), and lovely drinks served by the super-friendly owner! Cosy atmosphere and good vibes. Would absolutely recommend coming for dinner and sharing a bunch of plates with friends!

The place is good but it’s not ideal for reading (concentration in general). To much people chatting inside and I couldn’t hear jazz music. So this place is good just for drinking a coffee and talk with friends. The food looks very good and the place is beautiful.

The place was reopened by new owner a couple a months ago. The interior was familiar but the concept is new - less cafe, more casual restaurant. We had dinner with nine courses served sharing style, excellent experience and perfect portion sizes. The food came in a nice pace and the waiter was kind to ask if we wanted breaks in-between. Very happy with our evening at the new Hans Christian.

Lovely place. We went for drinks on a Friday around 4:00pm. Great outdoor seating area and very spacious indoor. Nice decor. We got some sparkling wine and almonds. We also tried the carrot cake which was delicious. We will definitely come back.

I visited the cafe with some friends to study on a quiet afternoon. We all live locally and were so excited to support a new business. All but one member of our group purchased drinks and food immediately upon entering. We were working quietly in the back when a staff member approached us and asked her to purchase something. This was odd but we brushed it off and she bought a coffee without complaint. After this, we were repeatedly visited by multiple staff asking if we wanted to buy more drinks. We were then told that tap water was only given to customers when they bought a coffee (which is ridiculous). After this incident, we became so uncomfortable and anxious that we felt we had to leave. Had this not happened, we would’ve happily stayed for another 1-2 hours and purchased more rounds of drinks and food. I’m not sure if this bizarre treatment was because we spoke english or had laptops with us — or if they treat every customer this way. Having worked in cafes and restaurants for many years myself, I cannot understand why the staff would make paying (and respectful) customers feel so unwanted. I wish I had positive things to say about Hans Christian’s but the poor customer service overshadowed any good aspects of our visit.

A more elegant cafe in Østerbro is a great addition. The living room feeling is authentic and cozy in this high ceiling cafe. Have only tried the cafe and a romkugle, but both were fine. The service is very welcoming. I’ll probably visit this place as often as I can.

The menue is confusing and should be clearer and renewed. Service too slow. Food was fine.

Very lovely new cafe in the quietest of streets at Trianglen. You’ll find adequate space with 4 rooms and many tables/seats in an fashionable, old fashioned interior and style. Long opening hours and a delicious breakfast plate. Family run and friendly service 😊 We will be back!
